Brenda Elkins has enjoyed a love of horses from a very early age and is excited to combine her appreciation of horses with her compassion for people.
Brenda is passionate about her community and the importance of volunteering.  Her community involvement includes over ten years with TEAD The Equestrian Association for the Disabled and in 2012 received the Rhonda Davies Award for Outstanding Volunteer from CANTRA the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association.
Other community groups which Brenda has been involved in are The Community Child Abuse Council of Hamilton Wentworth, The Suicide Prevention Council of Hamilton Wentworth and the Hamilton LGTBQ Task Force.
Brenda completed a thirty one year career with The Hamilton Police Service where she began her interest and training in Counselling and Support.  Her work experience included work in the Youth Branch, Child Abuse Branch and spent her final twenty years with the service in the Victim Services Branch providing emotional and psychological support to victims of crime and trauma.

As a FEEL Graduate and dedicated lifelong learner Brenda shares her wisdom and the healing power of horses to help people experience their hidden power and authentic self.
