Born and raised in the city of Sault Ste Marie, Ont. Christine McDonald- Levesque realized quickly that pursuing a career with horses was going to be challenging and rewarding! Living in a northern Ontario community brought many roadblocks to her plans; however, the horses provided the guidance and the encouragement that Christine needed to find her true purpose. With 26 years of experience working with horses, Christine always felt that something was missing. The traditional methods of riding lessons and the way that people handled their horses always left Christine with a feeling of emptiness. Christine needed to find the missing piece that would combine her passion for horses with her love for people. After two college diplomas and certifications from Kemptville College and the Ontario Equestrian Federation in English and Western riding, Christine finally discovered a program that connected people and horses on a spiritual level. This was the program that would give horses the respect that they deserve and people the opportunity to learn skills for themselves and to help with their relationships. Christine is a graduate of the Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning (FEEL) program from Horse Spirit Connections. She owns and operates Horse Wisdom Healing Center located in her home town of Sault Ste Marie, Ont. On her small 10 acre farm, Christine uses native traditions combined with the wisdom of the horses to assist people in their healing process to increase self awareness and improve relationships with self and community. Christine has finally found the missing piece and spends her days either learning from the horses or allowing others to experience the horse as teacher.
