Jennifer has been involved and around horses since before she can remember. She was born onto a farm where her grandfather bred, raised and raced thoroughbreds and also imported Lipizan horses to Canada. Her mother reminds her of her first word “horsey” and she began to take riding lessons the minute she was of age. Horses were her first love. Jennifer’s passion for horses as a young girl and teenager led her into the hunter/jumper show circuit where she competed for a number of years. Over the years, Jennifer has been re-connected to horses time and time again when she needed them most and was going through challenging life, relationship and career transitions in her life. While she was healing from an eating disorder, horses were a big part of her progression and helped her open her heart. She one day dreamed she could somehow marry her love for horses with her love for personal growth and teaching.

In 2005, Jennifer became a Life Coach and Counsellor specializing in helping women with anxiety and depression, overcoming eating disorders and develop self-esteem and self-confidence.  She has a private practice that spans internationally where she offers one on one and group sessions with and without horses, and she has created a 3 module course called ‘Be You Be True Be Free’.   Jennifer has also created and facilitated skill-building and psychospiritual groups at various support centres in the Greater Toronto Area, such as Sheena’s Place, Danielle’s Place (for people affected with eating disorders) and Wellspring (for people affected with cancer)

Jennifer’s dream of marrying her passion for horses and her passion for her deep inner work came to fruition and she now offers one-on-one and group sessions with her horses in King City.  She saw the power of partnering with horses in the therapeutic process and the long-lasting benefits received from this type of work for both the horse and the client.
